Elizabethton left no doubt on Friday night.
The Cyclones stormed to a 9-0 victory over Sullivan East to claim the District 1-AA soccer title inside Citizens Bank Stadium. With the win, Elizabethton will open the Region 1-AA tournament against Volunteer on Tuesday night.
Drake Teague opened the scoring early as he scored in the opening minute for Elizabethton. The Cyclones used goals by Zach Curtis and Thomas Lambert to take a 3-0 lead before the 30′ mark.
EHS saw Curtis and Teague score two more goals apiece, and Reece Vernon capped the scoring with his goal in the 51′.
Tucker Taylor produced a clean sheet in the goal for the Orange and Black.
