Cloudland picked up a pair of county wins on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady ‘Landers picked up a 17-2 win and a 13-1 victory over Happy Valley on Warrior Hill in nonconference action.
The opening game saw Cloudland leave no doubt.
After plating two runs in the first, CHS capitalized on an Eowyn McCoury homerun and put up nine runs in the second. HV broke onto the board in the third, but the Lady ‘Landers were able to keep HV at bay.
Abriella Jones went 4-for-4 to lead Cloudland, while Regan Blair, Ayla Horney, and Savannah McCoury had three hits apiece. E. McCoury had four RBI.
Reagan Turbyfill struck out nine batters and allowed just two earned runs on one hit in just over three innings of work.
Alex Moore had a hit for HV. Natalie Cline and Destanee Irick scored runs for the Lady Warriors.
In the second game, Cloudland took control early.
The Lady ‘Landers plated five runs in the first and seven more in the second. HV battled back with a run in the third but was unable to rally.
S. McCoury had three hits for Cloudland. Peyton Preswood tallied two hits and two RBI, while Jayla Harper and Layken Blair had two hits apiece. Reagan Turbyfull added two RBI.
Cline had an RBI for HV with Dani Lingerfelt scoring for the Lady Warriors.
