Unaka completed the sweep on Thursday night.

The Rangers ended the regular season with a 34-0 victory over Happy Valley in nonconference action at Goddard Field.

The county rivals played twice this season with the Rangers taking both wins.

After the Ranger defense held strong on fourth down on the game’s opening drive, the Unaka offense went to work and got on the board as Landon Ramsey scored on a short run and added the two-point conversion.

That gave Unaka an 8-0 lead after a quarter of play.

The Rangers added to the lead when Ramsey broke free for a 50-yard touchdown run, and the Rangers added the two-point conversion.

Happy Valley continued to fight as Reagan Ensor, Bronson Norman and the Warriors moved into scoring position before the Ranger defense forced them off the field.

Unaka took advantage and capped the scoring when Jamol Blamo scored on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Ramsey to send the Rangers to the locker room with a 22-0 lead.

The Rangers opened the scoring midway through the third as Joe-Z Blamo caught a Ramsey pass.

HV saw Pedro Colunga jump on an Unaka fumble, but the Warrior offense was unable to capitalize on the turnover.

The final score of the night came when Ramsey hit Joe-Z Blamo for a screen pass and a touchdown.

Both teams are set to open the TSSAA playoffs next Friday. Unaka will be at home as the Region 1-A No. 2 seed, while Happy Valley will travel as the Region 1-2A No. 3 seed.
