The Road to Murfreesboro starts in earnest this weekend.
Region 1-A and Region 1-AA open tournament play on Friday and Saturday at home sites. The girls’ quarterfinals are set to play on Friday with the boys’ quarterfinals taking center stage on Saturday. All quarterfinals will tip off at 7 p.m.
Semifinals and Finals for Region 1-AA will be held on Unicoi County, while the Semifinals and Finals are set to be held at Chuckey-Doak High School.
In Region 1-AA boys, D-1 No. 3 Elizabethton will travel to D-2 No. 2 Greeneville with the winner advancing to play the winner of D-1 No.1 Sullivan East and D-2 No. 4 Chuckey-Doak on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The bottom half of the bracket will see D-1 No. 4 Happy Valley take on D-2 No. 1 Grainger. The winner will take on D-1 No. 2 Unicoi County and D-2 No. 3 Cumberland Gap at 7:45 on Tuesday.
The Region 1-AA Boys Championship is set to be held on Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
In the Region 1-AA girls bracket, D-1 No. 1 Happy Valley will kick off the tournament against D-2 No. 4 Cumberland Gap. The winner will advance to play the winner of the D-2 No. 2 Grainger and D-1 No. 3 Unicoi County match-up on Monday at 6 p.m.
D-1 No. 4 Elizabethton will take on D-2 No. 1 Greeneville in the bottom of the bracket with the winner taking on D-1 No. 1 Sullivan East and D-2 No. 3 Chuckey-Doak at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

In Region 1-A boys, D-1 No. 2 Hampton will open the tournament against D-2 No. 3 Hancock County. The winner of that match-up will take on either D-2 No. 1 Northview Academy or D-1 No. 4 South Greene at 7:45 p.m., on Tuesday.
D-1 No. 3 Cloudland will open the tournament on D-2 No. 2 Cosby in the quarterfinals with the winner moving on to take on the winner of the D-1 No. 1 North Greene and D-2 No. 4 Berean Christian at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Region 1-A Boys Championship is set for Thursday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
