Russell named Week 6 Climate Controllers’ Player of the Week



On a night full of standout performances, one stood out above the rest.

Elizabethton sophomore Corey Russell has been named the Climate Controllers’ Player of the Week for Week 6 with his performance against Tennessee High.

Russell surpassed the 350 total yard mark in the Cyclones’ 51-21 win on Friday night. The running back tallied 21 carries for 241 yards, and added 26 yards on two catches.

On special teams, Russell had 72 yards on kickoff returns and 35 on punt returns.

Russell and company are set to travel to Pigeon Forge on Friday.
