Brayden Sams and the Happy Valley football team got back into peak season form on Friday night.
The Warriors rolled to a 33-7 victory over West Greene as Sams scored four touchdowns in the game to lead Happy Valley.
The senior quarterback scored his first touchdown of the game with 3:38 to play in the first quarter on a 1-yard run. That gave HV a 6-0 lead going to the second.
After Sams pushed the lead to 12-0 with a 5-yard score, the Warrior defense saw Will Tittle step in front of a Buffalo pass and race 61 yards for the pick-six. A 14-yard touchdown run by Sams pushed the HV lead to 26-0 at the half.
In the second half, the Warriors kept West Greene at bay as Sams added his fourth touchdown of the night in the third quarter.
WG got on the board with just over 3:30 to play in the game.
Sams finished with 89 yards rushing on 11 carries and went 4-of-6 passing for 36 yards through the air.
Dakota Cochran had 117 yards on 14 carries. Defensively, Luke Phillips and Cameron Sloan added an interception and fumble recovery, respectively.
