District 1-3A Elimination Game
The Cyclones were unable to rally from an early deficit to extend the season on Saturday.
Crockett jumped out to a 4-0 lead through three innings before EHS was able to get two runs back in the bottom of the fourth. After Crockett plated two runs in the sixth, EHS battled back with two more in the sixth to pull within two runs.
In the seventh, Elizabethton was able to get the tying run on base, but was unable to plate the run.
JD Hooks was 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Justin Whitehead had two hits. Marshall Holtsclaw had a hit and an RBI. Jack Blevins added a hit.

Hampton 17, North Greene 4
District 1-A Elimination Game
The Bulldogs extended the season in a big way on Saturday.
Hampton jumped out to a 10-1 lead through two innings to take control and never looked back. The Bulldogs secured a spot in Monday’s District 1-A Championship game as well as a spot in the Region 1-A Tournament.
Colby Clark had a homerun and a double as part of a 3-for-5 performance with seven RBI. Eli Henson was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Memphis Nave was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Cash Royston was 3-for-4, and Eland Henson had two hits and an RBI.
Tuff Parlier added two RBI.
On the mound, Eli Henson allowed just one earned run on six hits in four innings of work to get the win.
North Greene 15, Unaka 0
District 1-A Elimination Game
The Rangers were unable to keep pace with North Greene in an elimination game on Saturday.
North Greene jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first. Unaka continued to battle, but was unable to rally.
Cooper Shanks, Conner Vines, Robert Humphrey, and Brandon Buckles each had a hit.
Softball
Cloudland 15, Unaka 4
District 1-A Softball Tournament
The Lady ‘Landers plated seven runs in the second and never looked back in the first round of the District 1-A tournament.
Cloudland will take North Greene on Monday at 7p in the Winners Bracket final, while Unaka will take on University High at 5p in an elimination game. Both games will be held at Unaka.
After plating a run in the first, Cloudland scored seven runs in the second to take control. Unaka, however, didn’t go quietly as they plated three runs in the fourth, but the Lady ‘Landers answered with six runs in the home side of the frame to secure the win.
Reagan Turbyfill was 4-for-4 with three RBI at the plate. In the pitching circle, Turbyfill allowed no earned runs on four hits.
Savannah McCoury was 2-for-3 with four RBI, while Willow Bennett had a home run with three RBI. Jayla Harper tallied two hits, including a home run with two RBI.
Zoe Gardner had a hit and an RBI. Regan Blair, Peyton Preswood, and Eowyn McCoury each had a hit.
For Unaka, Katlyn Dugger had two hits and a run scored. Kimberly Profitt had a hit and an RBI, and Saylor Connor added an RBI.
Kacie Bare added a hit for Unaka.
