Friday Roundup: Cyclones Roll To Win; Bulldogs Outlast North Greene On The Road

Elizabethton 74, West Ridge 52 (boys)
The Cyclones rolled to a Friday night win.

EHS pulled out to a 40-21 lead at the half and maintained a 50-38 advantage after three complete quarters.

Evan Chambers led the way with 23 points. Hudson Pate added 17 points, while Nathan Bailey scored 15 points. Bo Armstrong scored eight points.

Will Holmes led West Ridge with 23 points.

Hampton 61, North Greene 53 (boys)
The Bulldogs outlasted North Greene for a key road victory.

After Hampton held a 16-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, the teams continued to go back and forth. The Bulldogs held a 36-31 advantage at the half.

Hampton was able to use back-to-back 3-pointers by Chase Davenport to stretch the lead out and was able to hold off North Greene in the final quarter to take the win.

Davenport finished with 22 points for Hampton, while Coby Clark had 17 points. Tuff Robinson added 11 points. Bryce Fagan scored six points.

Jaiden Bailey led North Greene with 16 points, while Tyler Britton and Thomas Darnell had 15 and 14 points, respectively.

North Greene 68, Hampton 34 (girls)
The Lady Bulldogs were unable to keep pace on Friday night.

North Greene opened the game with a quick run to take a 22-11 lead into the second quarter. Hampton kept battling, but was unable to trim into the NG lead as the Lady Huskies led 43-20 at the break.

Hannah Baird led Hampton with 14 points, and Gracie Jenkins added nine points. Hannah Smith finished with seven points.

Eva Leonard and Ella Head led North Greene with 19 and 17 points, respectively.

West Ridge 72, Elizabethton 53 (girls)
The Lady Cyclones were unable to overcome a slow start on Friday night.

West Ridge jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the opening quarter. Elizabethton battled back in the second quarter, but was unable to cut into the deficit as West Ridge maintained a 37-22 halftime lead.

The Lady Cyclones kept battling in the second half, but were unable to rally back.

Reagan May had 17 points to lead Elizabethton. Jamira Smalls scored 12 points, while Addison Bunn and Sydney Minton had 10 points.

Carter Jones finished with 20 points to lead West Ridge.
