Carter County continued to be represented in the Tennessee Prep Football AP Poll by Elizabethton, Hampton and Happy Valley.
In Class 3A, the Cyclones moved up a spot to No. 7 after dispatching Unicoi County on Friday night. Elizabethton was 12 points behind No. 6 CAK. Alcoa was the unanimous No. 1 with 16 first-place votes.
In Class 2A, Hampton held onto the No. 7 spot with 70 points after Friday’s victory over Gatlinburg-Pittman, while Happy Valley was tied for No. 9 with 40 points after cruising by Cosby.
Adamsville held the top spot in the poll with 12 first-place votes. Boyd-Buchanan and Marion County were No. 2 and No. 3, respectively.
Hampton is set to travel to Cloudland on Friday night, while Elizabethton (vs. Tennessee High) and Happy Valley (vs. Unaka) are set to be at home.
