Thursday Round-up: Bulldogs Take DH At Mitchell; Lady Cyclones and Lady Warriors Fall

The Bulldogs swept a doubleheader on Thursday.

In the first game, the Bulldogs capitalized on timely hits to take the win.

Morgan Lyons was 1-for-2 with two RBI, while Collin Morgan and Brody Hicks each had a hit.

Jonathon Greenwell picked up the win on the mound in three innings of work as he allowed just one earned run on two hits with four strikeouts. Caleb Royston struck out three batters in two innings of relief work.

The second game saw the Bulldogs erupt for seven runs in the top of the third to erase a 6-1 deficit and take the win.

Conor Jones was 2-for-2 with a RBI, while Chance Point plated three runs with a double. Collin Eller also added a hit.

On the mound, Lyons picked up the win with one inning of work.

Tennessee High 12, Elizabethton 3
The Lady Cyclones were unable to answer a 10-run fifth inning by the Lady Vikings.

Ember Jensen went 3-for-3 to lead the way for the Orange and Black, while Maely Ingram added two hits.

South Greene 13, Happy Valley 2
The Lady Warriors came up short on Thursday afternoon.

South Greene jumped out to a 6-2 lead after an inning of play and limited HV to take the win.

Laura Rice, Reagan Street, Maddie Lingerfelt and Makayla Miller each had a hit for HV, while Street and Miller had a RBI apiece.
