The Region 1-A Boys’ Championship game is coming back to Carter County.
Thursday’s Championship game between Hampton and Unaka has been moved to Happy Valley from Washburn.
The game is still set for a 7p tipoff on Thursday night. The Region 1-A Girls Championship is set to be held on Wednesday at Happy Valley. Washburn hosted both region semifinal contests for both the boys and girls this season.
After the two county schools won both semifinal match-ups on Tuesday night, the schools were allowed to move the championship game to an alternate site. Happy Valley hosted the District 1-A tournament.
It will be the fourth meeting this season between the two teams. The winner of the game will host a Monday night substate game, while the loser will have to travel for their substate game.
