Hampton 70, Volunteer 50 (girls)
The Lady Bulldogs used a big second quarter and then kept Volunteer at bay in their opening game of the Chick-Fil-A Classic hosted by Hampton.

After HHS held a two-point lead after eight minutes of play, the Lady Bulldog took control in the second.

Madi McClain hit three 3-pointers and scored 12 points in the second period, while Linsey Jenkins added seven points in the frame to push the Lady Bulldogs to a 38=22 lead at the break.

From there, Hampton was able to stop any thought of a Volunteer run to preserve the win.
