Tuesday Round-up: Lady Cyclones, Lady Rangers Take Wins

Elizabethton 15, Sullivan Central 1 (softball)
The Lady Cyclones hit the gas and never looked back as they cruised to a 15-1 win in the Three Rivers Conference opener.

After taking a 1-0 in the top of the first, Elizabethton scored eight runs in the second to take control and never looked back.

Ember Jensen was 4-for-5 at the plate with two RBI, while Cheyenne Poiroux was 3-for-4 with five RBI. Kallista Deprimo and Poiroux each had a home run in the game.

As a team, Elizabethton recorded 17 hits.

In the circle, Madisun Pritchard pitched a complete game for the win as she allowed just one unearned run on three hits with seven strikeouts.

Unaka 13, Sullivan North 2 (softball)
The Lady Rangers scored early and often to cruise past Sullivan North.

After the Lady Raiders took a 1-0 lead in the first, Unaka countered with two runs in the home side of the opening inning and then added three more in the second.

From there, it was all Unaka.

Trinity Bowers was 3-for-3 at the plate, while Sadie Shoun, Alana Parsons, and Lyndie Ramsey each had two hits apiece.

Shoun picked up the win in the circle as she allowed just two earned runs on three hits with five strikeouts.
