Elizabethton 5, Sullivan East 3
The Cyclones held off East for a key district win on Tuesday.
EHS plated two runs in the second to take a 2-0 lead and pushed the advantage to 5-0 with three runs in the fourth.
The Patriots plated three runs in the visiting side of the fifth, but EHS was able to secure the win.
Aliester Sumner had two RBI and a hit for EHS. Justin Whitehead and Jack Blevins each had a hit and an RBI, while Steven Meadows, Bryson Rowland, and Logan Campbell each had a hit.
On the mound, Rhett Slagle struck out four Patriot batters and allowed two earned runs on five hits in 4.1 innings of work.
North Greene 10, Unaka 0
The Rangers dropped a district game on Tuesday.
North Greene added two runs in the first and three in the second to take control.
Rob Humphrey, Connor Vines, and Brycen Eggers each had a hit for the Rangers.
In four innings of work, Vines struck out 10 batters and allowed four unearned runs on five hits.
Aidan Halley went 2-for-4 with four RBI for North Greene and also struck out nine batters and allowed three hits in just under five innings of work.
University High 24, Cloudland 0
The ‘Landers were unable to keep up with the UH bats on Tuesday.
Tristen Lowery and Walker Gouge each had a hit for Cloudland.
Maddox Anderson led UH as he went 3-for-3 with five RBI.
Softball
Unaka 15, University High 2
Unaka pulled away to take a district win on Tuesday.
Unaka scored a run in the opening frame and then added six more in the third to take a 7-0 into the home side of the third. After UH put two runs on the board, the Lady Rangers drove two runs across the plate in the fourth and six more in the fifth to secure the win.
Mollie Buckles went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Kacie Bare had two hits and three RBI. Brooklyn Campbell ended the game with two hits and two RBI.
Devalynn Harter tallied two RBI. Unaka saw Keidance Story go 3-for-3 at the plate.
In the pitching circle, Kimberly Profitt struck out five batters and allowed one earned run on three hits in five innings.
Emma Chandley went 2-for-3 to lead the Lady Bucs.
Elizabethton 22, Hampton 6
The Lady Cyclones took advantage of a pair of big innings to move past Hampton Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first before EHS plated six runs in the second and 13 more in the third to take control. Hampton kept fighting but was unable to keep a rally going.
Sadie Williams went 5-for-5 with four RBI, while Brook Sparks went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Piper Bennett and Adrian Heading recorded three hits and three RBI apiece.
Katie Gryder ended the game with two hits and three RBI, and Jozey Reece and Lilly McDuffie added two hits and an RBI each.
Malory Lamb led Hampton as she went 3-for-3, while Briley Davis had two RBI and a hit. Hannah Smith recorded a hit and an RBI.
Emma Hughes knocked in a run, and Lauren Smith added a hit.

Elizabethton 1, Unicoi County 1
The Cyclones drew a tie with Unicoi.
Reece Vernon scored on an assist from Drake Teague to account for the Elizabethton goal.
