Sullivan South 53, Happy Valley 36 (Boys)

A scoreless third quarter was too much for the Warriors to overcome.

Happy Valley was unable to get on the scoreboard in the third quarter as Sullivan South took a 41-18 lead into the final quarter.  The Warriors had trailed 27-18 at the break.

Brayden Sams led the way with 10 points, while Tyler Torbett added nine points.

Hampton 70, North Greene 49 (Boys)

The Bulldogs jumped out early and never looked back on Tuesday night. Hampton rolled to a 23-4 lead in the first quarter, and extended the lead to 50-16 by the half. From there, the Bulldogs cruised to an important district win.

Coby Jones led the charge with 18 points, while Nathan Norris scored 14 points. Jose Velasquez added 12 points for Hampton.

With a win over University High or a Cloudland win over South Greene, the Bulldogs will claim the conference title and the No. 1 seed for the District 1-A tournament.

North Greene 36, Hampton 34 (girls)

The Lady Bulldogs fell victim to a last second shot as North Greene scored with five seconds remaining to take the win. After Hampton led 16-13 after a quarter of play, the teams finished the first half knotted in a 23-23 tie.

The teams battled back and forth for the second half, but a Kristen Payne shot in the final seconds proved to be the difference.
