It was a classic thriller on Stoney Creek.
Happy Valley erased an 11-point lead in the final five minutes to force overtime, but the Rangers outlasted the Warriors in two overtimes.
Joseph Slagle had 22 points to pace Unaka. Devin Ramsey added 15 points for the Ranger effort.
James Murray had 17 points to pace the Warriors, while Landon Babb finished with 14 points.
Elizabethton 74, Cosby 55
The Cyclones pulled away in the second half to take a Tuesday victory.
After leading Cosby 34-32 at the half, Elizabethton outscored the Eagles 20-12 in the third to get some breathing room and then kept their foot on the gas in the fourth.
Seth Carter had 19 points to lead EHS, while Kaleb Hambrick added 14 points. Caleb Franklin and Bryce VanHuss had 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Corey Askew led Cosby with 22 points.
Avery County 49, Cloudland 43
Cloudland was unable to hold off an Avery second-half surge on Tuesday night.
The ‘Landers held a 25-17 lead at the break but saw Avery use a big-fourth quarter to take the win in Roan Mountain.
Dylan Shell had 16 points for the ‘Landers. Caleb Sluder added 12 points.

Elizabethton 79, Cosby 42
The Lady Cyclones jumped out early and never looked back.
After holding a six-point lead after the first eight minutes, Elizabethton outscored Cosby 27-13 in the second stanza to take a 42-22 halftime advantage.
From there, they hit cruise control.
Lina Lyon had 21 points to lead the Lady Cyclones, while Olivia Holly had 15 points. Reiley Whitson and Marlee Mathena had 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Renna Lane tossed in 10 points.
Unaka 42, Happy Valley 29
Unaka slowly pulled away to take a Carter County victory on Tuesday night.
The Lady Rangers held a 9-6 lead after a quarter of play and pushed the advantage to 20-11 at the half. HV continued to stay within striking distance, but Unaka was able to keep them at bay for the win.
Lyndie Ramsey had 22 points to lead the Lady Rangers. Macy Ensor added 15 points.
Kadie Bailey and Marcida Moore had nine points apiece to lead the Lady Warriors.
Cloudland 48, Avery County 21
The Cloudland defense held Avery County to just eight first-half points to roll to a home-opening victory.
The Lady ‘Landers saw Izabella Christman score 16 points to lead the way. Ella Benfield added 12 points, while Saharra McKinney scored eight points.
