Unicoi County 61, Hampton 40
The Lady Bulldogs were unable to overcome a quick start by the Lady Blue Devils.
UC jumped out to a 14-0 lead to open the game. Hampton closed the gap with a run of their own, but the Lady Bulldogs were unable to rally.
Lauren Smith had nine points to lead Hampton, while Hannah Smith and Hannah Baird had seven points apiece.
Tennessee High 58, Cloudland 52
The Lady ‘Landers were unable to hold off a Tennessee High rally.
Cloudland used a hot start to jump out to a 30-20 halftime advantage. Tennessee High trimmed into the lead in the third, but CHS held a 41-39 advantage after three complete quarters.
The fourth quarter went back-and-forth until the Lady Vikings used a 9-3 run to take the lead and the win.
Makinna Shell led Cloudland with 20 points. Regan Blair and Eowyn McCoury had nine points apiece.
Happy Valley 46, University High 18
HV rolled to a win on the opening night of the Valley Forge Auction Classic.
It was the first win for Rik Anderson at the helm of the HV program. The Lady Warriors took a 10-3 lead after eight minutes of play and never looked back.
Amilia Riddick scored 16 points to lead the way for HV.
Monday
Elizabethton 58, Grainger 50
Jamira Smalls had 17 points to lead the way as EHS took a big November win.
Addison Bunn added 16 points, while Rylee May scored 10 points. Adrian Heading tossed in eight points.
Boys
Sullivan East 68, Happy Valley 30
Artee Bahn scored seven points, and Grady Goulds added six points, but the Warriors were unable to keep pace with a fast-paced Sullivan East squad.
Mason Norman added four points.
Morristown West 62, Unaka 50
The Rangers were unable to overcome a big fourth quarter by Morristown West.
After the Trojans took a 16-14 lead after the first quarter, Unaka jumped ahead to take a 31-24 lead into the half. The teams continued to go back-and-forth in the third until Morristown West outscored Unaka 22-8 in the final eight minutes to take the win.
John Hardin had 27 points to lead the Rangers. Peyton Guess had nine points, while Zach Wallin had eight points.
Monday
Elizabethton 76, Grainger 57
Evan Chambers scored 21 points as EHS rolled to a win at Grainger.
Nathan Bailey finished with 15 points, while Bo Armstron and Jackson Buckles had 12 points apiece.
