Unaka was unable to keep pace on Friday night.
The Rangers dropped a hard-fought 39-20 decision to Twin Springs (Va.) on Friday night on the road. Unaka falls to 0-2 on the season.
After Twin Springs opened the scoring, the Rangers answered with a methodical drive that saw Connor McKinney catch a 13-yard touchdown pass from Brynin Repass to tie things up at 6-6 to end the first.
The Titans, however, added a pair of touchdowns in the second to take a 21-6 lead at the half.
The Rangers kept battling.
Twin Springs pushed the lead to 27-6 midway through the third before McKinney returned the ensuing kick for a touchdown for the Rangers.
Twin Springs scored late in the quarter to take a 33-14 lead into the final quarter.
Unaka, however, continued to fight as Ethan Henderson scored on a nine-yard run to open the fourth. The Rangers were unable to close the gap any further despite a hard-fought effort.
McKinney finished with 105 rushing yards to pace Unaka.
Clay Ross led Twin Springs as he tallied 267 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
