The Unaka football team has had its season hit a pause button.
The Rangers have canceled the next two games due to COVID-19 concerns inside the program. Unaka Head Coach O’Brien Bennett and Unaka Athletic Director Aaron Dugger confirmed the cancellations.
The games affected were this Friday’s game at Cosby as well as next week’s game against Hampton.
Unaka is coming off a 56-16 win over Hancock County and are currently 3-3 on the season.
The Rangers are slated to host Sunbright to close out the regular season on Oct. 30, before hosting a first-round playoff game the following week.
