Unaka opened the 2022 season in style.

The Rangers reeled off 38 straight points to pull away for a 38-12 victory over North Greene on Stoney Creek Friday night.

The Huskies struck first as Yeshua Vaught scored on a two-yard run, and NG took a 6-0 lead just over four minutes into the game.

Unaka was unable to get anything going in the first quarter as the Rangers trailed 6-0 after a quarter of play.

Unaka, however, came alive in the opening seconds of the second quarter.

Landon Ramsey and Joe Z Blamo connected for a 22-yard touchdown and the Rangers converted the two-point conversion to take an 8-6 lead 11 seconds into the quarter.

Later in the quarter, Unaka pushed the advantage to 16-6 with 3:08 remaining in the half as Jamol Blamo scored on a six-yard run.

The Rangers kept their foot on the gas in the second half.

Ramsey put Unaka back on the board 1:15 into the half with a 10-yard run, and Jam. Blamo scored on a run to give UHS a 32-6 advantage midway through the quarter.

From there, Unaka stayed in control to take the win.

Ramsey was 12-of-18 for 159 yards and added 93 yards on the ground. Blamo had 112 yards rushing.
