It was a battle with a postseason berth on the line, and the Warriors delivered.
Happy Valley earned a berth to the playoffs with a victory over South Greene, and the entire team earned our Applebee’s Unit of the Week for Week 11.
The Warriors jumped out to a 28-6 lead before a furious South Greene rally closed the gap to four points. However, Brayden Sams and the defense stepped up to secure the win.
The Happy Valley offense was led Austin Hicks as he tallied 105 yards on nine carries, while Sage Haun was 8-of-14 with 140 yards and three touchdowns. Josh Hammonds tallied 117 yards on four catches with three touchdowns.
The Warriors open the playoffs on Friday night at Rockwood.
