Warriors Roll Past Claiborne For Road Win

Happy Valley rolled to a win on Friday night.

The Warriors cruised to a 45-6 victory over Claiborne in New Tazewell. With the win, HV improved to 3-0 on the year.

Lane Parker opened the scoring with a 40-yard touchdown run for the Warriors, and AJ Rangel added the extra point. After the Warrior defense recovered a fumble, Gabe McDougald scored on a 14-yard run to give HV a 14-0 lead.

Parker added a 36-yard touchdown to give HV a 21-0 lead after a quarter of play.

Keelin Releford scored on a 32-yard run to open the second quarter scoring. The Bulldogs got on the board with a 26-yard touchdown pass midway through the quarter, but Happy Valley countered with a McDougald four-yard run to take a 35-6 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Releford added a 12-yard run, while Rangel added a 25-yard field goal to account for the final score.

The Warriors had 350 total offensive yards in the game.

Releford had 12 carries for 120 yards, while Parker added 94 yards on four carries. McDougald added 55 yards.

Rangel added six extra points for HV.
