Happy Valley had an upset on the mind. Oneida, however, had another idea.

The Warriors were unable to answer a fourth-quarter charge as Oneida took a 23-7 victory in the Class 2A playoffs on Friday night.

The loss ends Happy Valley’s season with a 5-6 record after finishing 3-1 in region action.

After the Indians struck first, the Warriors had an answer.

Dakota Cochran hit Blake Young for a long touchdown pass, and Michael Harrah added the extra point to tie things up at 7-7.

That is how things stayed until the fourth quarter.

The Warriors looked poised to take the lead, but a fumble inside the Oneida 20 changed the game. Oneida struck quickly and added a safety to take a 16-7 lead. A late Indian touchdown secured the game for Oneida.
