Happy Valley ended the regular season in style.
The Warriors rolled to a 38-0 victory over West Greene on the road in Region 1-2A play on Thursday night. With the win, Happy Valley finishes the regular season with a 7-1 mark and will open the Class 2A playoffs as the No. 2 seed from Region 1-2A.
HV took control early.
Lane Parker opened the scoring with a four-yard touchdown run five minutes into the game to take an 8-0 lead. Parker scored again with two minutes remaining in the quarter as he scored from 14 yards out.
That gave HV a 16-0 lead after a quarter of play.
The Warriors got back on the board with 5:11 left in the second quarter as Tyler Bailey broke free for a 28-yard touchdown. Happy Valley closed the half with a one-yard touchdown run from Tyler Berry to take a 32-0 lead into the half.
The Warriors accounted for the final score in the closing minutes of the game as Parker scored on a seven-yard run.
It was the third straight shutout by the Happy Valley defense.
