Hampton bounced back in a big way on Friday night.

The Bulldogs pulled away to take a crucial road Region 1-A win with a 48-7 victory over North Greene in Baileyton. With the win, Hampton improves to 4-2 overall.

The Bulldogs opened the game quickly.

After the HHS defense forced a three-and-out on the opening drive, Hampton struck in three plays as Eli Tester scored on the ground.

North Greene answered as Leon Johnson caught a 34-yard pass from Jared Swatzell as the Huskies took a 7-6 lead with 4:31 left in the first.

Hampton, however, answered on the next drive as Tester capped a drive that took over four minutes with a two-yard touchdown run, and HHS took a 14-7 lead into the second.

The Hampton defense recorded a safety in the second quarter, while Kaden Jones scored on a 36-yard run as the Bulldogs took a 22-7 lead into the half.

The Bulldogs continued to hold momentum in the second half.

Brycen Blevins and Rylan Jones connected for a 49-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. Landon Buchanan caught a Blevins pass for a touchdown later in the quarter.

Blevins and Buchanan connected again for a short touchdown, and Braydin Hardin added a touchdown for Hampton in the fourth.

Blevins led Hampton as he went 17-of-21 for 198 yards and three touchdowns.

K. Jones finished with 111 yards on 17 carries, and Tester had 85 yards on 15 carries.
