It was strictly business for Elizabethton on Friday night.
The Cyclones scored early and never looked back to take a 45-7 victory at Anderson County in the second round of the Class 4A playoffs.
With the win, Elizabethton sets up a rematch with Greeneville in Greeneville next Friday night in the state quarterfinals.
At Anderson County, Elizabethton hit the gas early.
Bryson Rollins and Jake Roberts connected for two first-quarter touchdowns. The first one was from 30 yards out while the second one covered 22 yards out.
A pair of extra points from Sean Smithdeal gave the Cyclones a 14-0 lead after a quarter of play.
Rollins pushed the lead out to 21-0 early in the second with a five-yard run. Teddy Orton pushed the lead 28-0 at the half as he took a screen 42 yards for a score.
After the Mavericks scored early in the third quarter, Cade Russell countered to cap off a strong drive with a four-yard scoring run.
Smithdeal added a 26-yard field goal as EHS took a 38-7 lead after three-quarters of play.
The final Cyclone touchdown of the night came when Nate Stephens scored on a 44-yard run.
Rollins finished 12-of-17 passing for 183 yards while adding 155 yards on 22 carries on the ground. He had four total touchdowns.
Roberts had 71 yards on four catches. Smithdeal was 6-of-6 on extra point attempts.
