Elizabethton continued to stay steady while three other county teams received votes in this week’s Tennessee AP Prep Football poll after Week 9 action.
In Class 4A, Elizabethton held steady at No. 3 after rolling past Volunteer on Friday night. The Cyclones tallied 106 points and were just two points behind No. 2 Upperman. Pearl-Cohn was No. 1 with 121 points.
Hardin County came in at No. 4, while Greeneville was ranked No. 5.
In Class 2A, Hampton and Happy Valley received votes in the latest poll.
The Bulldogs tallied 14 points coming out of the bye week and were just nine points behind No. 10 Mitchell.
HV had five points after rolling past Cumberland Gap on Friday night.
In Class A, Cloudland received eight points and were just six points behind No. 10 Whitwell after defeating Cosby on Friday night.
