Elizabethton picked up the district sweep on Tuesday night.

The Cyclones methodically pulled away to take a 70-44 victory over Unicoi, while the Lady Cyclones jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 62-41 win over the Lady Blue Devils.

In the boys’ game, Elizabethton took charge in the second quarter and never let go.

After the first quarter was tied at 10-10, Elizabethton outscored the Blue Devils 20-10 in the second stanza.

Any thought of a comeback was erased in the third as EHS doubled up Unicoi to take full control of the game.

Nate Stephens had 12 points to lead Elizabethton. Bryson Rollins, Bryce VanHuss, and Mason Ball had 11 points apiece for the Cyclones.

In the girls’ game, the Lady Cyclones came out of the gates quickly as they raced to a 17-0 lead. From there, Elizabethton cruised to the win.

Lina Lyon had 14 points to pace the Orange and Black, while Olivia Holly added 11 points. Katie Lee scored 10 points in the game.

Marlee Mathena and Renna Lane had eight and seven points, respectively.
