Elizabethton was well-represented on the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Class 3A All-State team for girls’ basketball.
Lina Lyon and Renna Lane were selected as part of the team that was released on Tuesday morning.
Lyon and Lane played a pivotal role in getting Elizabethton to the Class 3A State semifinals.
The senior Lyon finished the year averaging 16 points per game and added six rebounds per game. On the defensive end, she averaged two steals per game.
Lane, also a senior, averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game.
Both were selected to numerous postseason tournament teams including the TSAA Class 3A All-Tournament team.
The duo has signed with Milligan University to continue their academic and athletic careers.
The two Elizabethton standouts were joined by Unaka’s Lyndie Ramsey and Hampton’s Madi McClain as All-State selections.
