Hampton was unable to answer a late North Greene rally on Friday night.
The Lady Bulldogs came up short to the top-seeded Lady Huskies in a 68-42 decision in the District 1-A Girls Semifinals at Happy Valley High School.
Hampton moved into the District 1-A consolation game – which will be played Monday at 6p – while North Greene advanced into the championship game.
The Lady Bulldogs have previously advanced to the Region 1-A tournament.
North Greene scored the first four points of the game, but Lindsay Jenkins knocked down five quick points and Taylor Berry capped a 7-0 Hampton run to take the lead.
The Lady Huskies answered, but Madi McClain knocked down a trey to give Hampton a 10-8 lead midway through the quarter.
North Greene used a 6-0 run to regain the lead before McClain knocked down a shot as Hampton pulled within 14-12 after one complete quarter.
After NG scored the first four points of the second quarter, Macy Henry knocked down three free throws to close the gap once again.
North Greene, however, got a bit of separation with a quick 6-1 run. Piper Helle hit a bucket to stop the run for the Lady Bulldogs, but NG was able to push the lead to 30-20 at the half.
McClain and company cut into the gap quickly to open the third quarter as McClain hit back-to-back 3-pointers to open the third.
North Greene countered once again with an 11-1 run sparked by a Davenport bucket to push the lead out to 41-27.
Jenkins and McClain ended the quarter with back-to-back 3-pointers as Hampton trimmed the advantage back to 41-33 after three complete quarters.
Hampton cut into the lead to open the fourth, but NG slowly pulled away as the Lady Huskies used a 15-2 run to secure the win.
McClain led Hampton with 19 points, while Jenkins had nine points. Berry had five points.
Davenport led all scorers with 26 points
