Elizabethton checked off one of their goals in a big way.
The Lady Cyclones pulled away in the second quarter and never looked back to roll to a 79-44 District 1-3A Championship victory over Sullivan East at Volunteer High School.
Elizabethton will open Region 1-3A tournament play on Friday as they will host Cherokee in quarterfinal action.

That allowed Elizabethton to take a 37-20 lead into the half.
A balanced attack in the third quarter erased any thoughts of a Sullivan East comeback as they added 11 points to their lead.
From there, the celebration was on.
