In a Three Rivers duel, the Lady Cyclones had enough to take the win.

Elizabethton picked up a 3-1 victory over Johnson County on Thursday evening after scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth.

The Lady Longhorns took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fifth. The Lady Cyclones responded in the home side of the sixth. EHS got the first run on the board after Abbi McKinney crossed home plate after a passed ball.

Lauren Brickey scored on a throw and Jessica Cunningham drove in Kennedy Richardson to give EHS a 3-1 lead. From there, the EHS defense stymied the Lady Longhorns to pick up the win.

Brickey led the way at the plate with a 2-for-2 performance, while Richardson and Cunningham went 1-for-2. Maci Herrmann, Jordan Grindstaff and McKInney each added a hit for the Lady Cyclones.

In the circle, Cunningham picked up the win in a complete game effort. She struck out seven batters and only allowed one run.
