In a county clash, Hampton was able to outlast Happy Valley.

The Bulldogs overcame a 3-0 deficit to take a 5-3 win over the Warriors at Scotty Bunton Field on Senior night.

Hampton also retired the jerseys of Wyatt Lyons and Jason Davenport prior to the game.

The Warriors got on the board as Pedro Colunga hit a single to plate Nakota Graham and Tucker Shoun as HV took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first.

HV pushed the lead to 3-0 in the fourth when Shoun hit a double to plate Graham.
Hampton, however, battled back.

Johnny Greenwell hit a one-out double to score Brody Hicks and Jaden Kuhn, and then scored off an error to tie the game at 3-3 after five complete innings.

Graham hit a triple for HV in the top of the sixth, but HV was unable to plate the run.
In the home side of the inning, Hampton loaded the bases, and took a lead as Kuhn hit a single to score Josh Whitson and Chance Point.

Happy Valley got the tying run at the plate, but Hampton was able to hold on for the win.

Hicks went 3-for-3 at the plate for the Bulldogs, while Point and Kuhn went 2-for-2.

Drew Blevins went 2-for-2 at the plate for HV.
