Elizabethton softball celebrated Senior Day in style.
The Lady Cyclones had three home runs and 19 hits in an 11-1 win over Cherokee on Monday afternoon.
After the Lady Cheifs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Kenidy Harris hit a home run over the center field fence to plate three total runs to give EHS a 3-1 lead.
The Elizabethton defense held strong in the top of the second before Maley Ingram and Ember Jensen drove runs across the plate to push the Lady Cyclone lead to 5-1.
Sadie Williams and Lela Byrd opened the home side of the third with back-to-back home runs, and Elizabethton quickly pushed the lead to 10-1 after the frame.
The Lady Cyclones secured the win in the bottom of the fifth as Jensen scored off a Williams single in the fifth.
Harris and Jensen had three hits apiece, while Lana Ward, Mollie Johnson, Cheyenne Poiroux, Ingram, Williams, and Byrd had two hits apiece.
In the circle, Byrd struck out nine batters in five innings of work as she allowed just one earned run on three hits.
