Unaka took care of business on the road Friday night.

The Rangers pulled away and scored 28 unanswered points to take a 34-8 victory at Claiborne in nonconference action.

The Rangers struck first just past the midpoint of the first quarter as Landon Ramsey scored on a touchdown run. That gave UHS a 6-0 lead after a quarter of play.

The Bulldogs broke onto the board early in the second to take an 8-6 lead, but Unaka responded in a big way.

Jamol Blamo regained the lead for Unaka with a touchdown run as UHS took a 12-8 halftime lead.

It was all Unaka in the second half.

Ramsey added his second touchdown run of the night as the Rangers, and the third Ramsey touchdown gave UHS a 26-8 lead with 5:39 left in the quarter.

Later in the quarter, Blamo caught a Ramsey pass as Unaka took a 34-8 lead into the final quarter.
