Three Carter County Athletes Voted To TSWA Class A All-State Team

A trio of Carter County athletes was honored by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.

Cloudland’s Jacob Street, Cloudland’s Gage McKinney, and Unaka’s Landon Ramsey were voted to the TSWA Class A All-State team.

The TSWA All-State team was nominated and voted on by members of the Tennessee Sports Writers Association.

Despite missing part of the season due to injury, Street was voted to the team as an offensive lineman. The senior helped pave the way for a Cloudland rushing attack that piled up yards all season.

McKinney was voted as a running back on the offensive side of the ball. The senior finished with 2,689 yards on the year and had 31 touchdowns.

Ramsey was selected to the team as a defensive player. The dual-threat player had 109 tackles for the Rangers.

On the offensive side of the ball, Ramsey had 1,925 passing yards and 885 rushing yards with 18 passing and 16 rushing touchdowns.
