Thursday Roundup: Lady Cyclones Fall In OT Heartbreaker

The Lady Cyclones dropped a heartbreaker on Thursday night.

Elizabethton battled back from a 34-23 halftime deficit by outscoring the Lady Hilltoppers 17-9 in the third quarter and evened things up in the final quarter.

In the overtime period, the Lady Cyclones were able to come out on top.

Lina Lyon had 21 points to lead the Lady Cyclones, while Olivia Holly had 14 points. Renna Lane tossed in 12 points for the Lady Cyclones.

Nae Marion had a game-high 24 points.

Elizabethton 68, J.I. Burton 50 (boys)
The Cyclones rolled to a victory on Thursday evening.
EHS jumped out to a 13-6 lead after a quarter of play and pushed the advantage to 11 points by the break.

Burton closed the gap in the third quarter, but the Cyclones outscored Burton 23-11 in the final quarter to preserve the win.

Seth Carter had 26 points to pace the way. Mac Paulson had 12 points.

Kaleb Hambrick had 11 points for the Cyclones.
