Tuesday Round-up: Hampton Wins Two At Johnson County; Lady Rangers Roll Past Hancock Co.

Hampton 82, Johnson County 52
The Bulldogs left no doubt in the second half Tuesday night.

After holding a 34-32 lead at the half, Hampton outscored the Longhorns 26-8 in the third and never looked back.

In all, the Bulldogs outscored Johnson County 48-20 in the second half.

Geno Carrico recorded a new career high of 26 points to pace Hampton. Hayden Campbell added 14 points, while Michael Anspauhg had 12 points.

Tuff Robinson scored 11 points.

Johnson County was led by Darren Chappell’s 26 points.

Girls
Hampton 67, Johnson County 38
The Lady Bulldogs rolled to a conference win on Tuesday night.

Hampton used a late run to take a 23-11 advantage after eight minutes of play and outscored JC 26-6 in the second quarter to take a 49-17 halftime lead.

From there, it was all Hampton.

Taylor Berry had 17 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs, while Faye Carrico scored 13 points.

Piper Helle and Macy Henry each scored 10 points.

Aubreen Gleen and Sierra Green had 11 and 10 points, respectively, to lead Johnson County.

Unaka 51, Hancock County 30
The Lady Rangers picked up a home victory on Tuesday night.

Alisha Harrell scored 11 points to pace Unaka, while Katlyn Dugger and Keyona Hague scored nine points apiece.

Emma Douglas added eight points for the Unaka cause. Haley Taylor finished with seven points.
