Happy Valley came up short on Friday night.
The Warriors dropped a 17-0 decision to Oneida in the first round of the TSSAA Class 2A playoffs on Warrior Hill.
The loss snapped a seven-game winning streak for Happy Valley, and the Warriors finished the 2023 season with a 7-4 mark.
Both defenses set the tone as points were hard to come by.
The Indians got on the board with just over two minutes left in the first quarter as Kolby Morgan scored on a seven-yard run. After the teams traded possessions throughout the second quarter, Oneida added a touchdown late in the frame as Caden Rector found Zander Lowe for a 14-yard touchdown to give OHS a 14-0 lead at the half.
Happy Valley continued to fight but was unable to mount a rally in the second half.
Oneida added a third-quarter field goal from 29 yards to account for the final score.
Joseph Sowards had 14 carries for 53 yards to pace the Warriors, while adding 32 receiving yards.
Zander Lowe had 15 carries for 68 yards rushing to pace Oneida.
