Happy Valley jumped out early and held on for a Senior Night win.

The Warriors picked up a 13-6 victory over Trinity Academy on Warrior Hill Friday night. With the win, HV improves to 7-2 overall with a crucial game at South Greene to end the regular season next Friday.


In the first quarter, it was all Warriors.

Eli Ayers connected with Cameron Slone for a 10-yard touchdown pass and then with Will Tittle for a 12-yard touchdown. From there, the Warriors defense took care of the rest.

Andrew Little recorded two interceptions, while Matthew Bahn and Slone each had a fumble recovery to spearhead a stout defensive effort.

The Warriors defense held Trinity to just 79 rushing yards.

Ayers finished the game 7-of-14 passing for 53 yards.

The Warriors now turn their attention to South Greene. With a win, the Warriors will claim the the No. 1 seed and home field advantage in addition to a share of the Region 1-2A crown.
