Happy Valley baseball was unable to extend the season on Wednesday.
The Warriors dropped a 10-3 decision to Johnson County in the play-in game of the District 1-2A Tournament. The loss brings Happy Valley’s season to a close.
Johnson County took a 4-0 lead in the second, but HV battled back in the top of the fourth.
After HV put two runners on to open the frame, Reagan Ensor hit a double to push a run across the plate.
Carlos Looez and Cade Kendall also drove in runs as HV pulled within a run.
The Longhorns, however, answered with five runs of their own in the inning to take control and held off HV for the win.
Tucker Shoun, Pedro Colunga, Kendall, and Ensor each had a hit for HV.
