Carter County Well Represented On TnFCA All-State Teams



Carter County was well represented on the Tennessee Football Coaches Association All-State teams that were unveiled over the weekend.

A total of 14 players along with two head coaches were honored by the organization.

In Class 4A, Elizabethton saw Bryson Rollins was picked at the quarterback position, while Jake Roberts was selected as a wide receiver. Connor Johnson earned a spot on the offensive line.

Defensively, Trenton Taylor was honored as a defensive lineman selection.

In Class 2A, Hampton saw Conor Jones honored at the quarterback position while McKinley Kuhn was selected as an offensive lineman.

Ashton Hardin was selected as a defensive lineman, while Ryan Crumley was selected for the linebacker position.

Hampton Head Coach Michael Lunsford was selected as the Coach of the Year for the classification.

The Class A offensive team saw Cloudland’s Seth Birchfield selected as a running back selection, while Unaka’s Devin Ramsey was honored at the wide receiver position.

Cloudland’s Eli Benfield was chosen as an offensive lineman on the team.

Defensively, Maverick Simerly (DL) and Jacob Street (DL) represented the ‘Landers, while Unaka’s Landon Ramsey was selected to the team at the punter position.

Cloudland Head Coach Zac Benfield was selected as the Coach of the Year for Class A.
