An early deficit proved to be too much to overcome in Roan Mountain on Tuesday.

Cloudland was unable to answer a hot offensive UH team as they fell 14-2 in district play.

The Bucs jumped out early by taking advantage of CHS miscues to jump to a 10-0 lead in the first inning. Cloudland looked to answer as Noah Arnett got on base, but CHS was unable to move the runners in the frame.

The ‘Landers got on the board when Joseph Trivette and Arnett crossed home plate in the fourth and fifth inning, respectively. CHS, however, was unable to cut into the lead any further.
