Elizabethton cruised to a Region 1-4A win on Friday night.
The Cyclones rolled to a 56-0 win over Grainger on the road. With the win, Elizabethton improves to 3-1 on the year and 1-1 in region action.
The Cyclones opened the scoring early.
Bryson Rollins found Nate Stephens on the first offensive play for Elizabethton for the touchdown, and Cade Russell scored from six yards out as Elizabethton took a lead 14-0 lead after a quarter of play.
Jake Roberts caught a Rollins pass for a score early in the second quarter. Russell got back in the endzone from five yards out as EHS pushed the lead to 28-0.
Elizabethton pushed the lead to 35-0 when Rollins hit Roberts for a 43-yard connection.
It was much the same for the Cyclones in the second half.
Nate Stephens raced into the endzone from a 32-yard score, while Roberts scored his third touchdown of the night as he returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown.
The final Cyclone score came from a five-yard touchdown run from Kaleb Holzer.
Elizabethton is set to return to action next Friday night with a non-conference tilt against Anderson County.
