Friday Round-up: Elizabethton Sweeps Tennessee High; Lady Warriors Pick Up Win

Elizabethton 64, Tennessee High 50
The Cyclones used a huge second quarter to run take control and never look back.
Elizabethton outscored the Vikings 25-3 in the second frame after trailing 17-13 in the opening minute of the quarter.

That propelled EHS to a 32-20 halftime lead, and the Cyclones continued to roll in the second half.

Jake Roberts had 21 points to lead Elizabethton.

Nicholas Wilson added 14 points, while Bryson Rollins had eight points.

Johnson County 66, Happy Valley 40
The Warriors were unable to bounce back from an early deficit.

Johnson County raced out to a 21-5 lead in the first quarter.

HV continued to battle, but was unable to cut into the Longhorn lead.

Colby Chaussee led HV with nine points. Landon Babb added eight points, while James Murray scored seven points.

Girls
Elizabethton 64, Tennessee High 25
The Lady Cyclones jumped out early and never looked back.

After EHS maintained an 11-6 lead after a quarter of play, EHS outscored the Lady Vikings 28-8 in the second quarter to leave no doubt.

Olivia Holly had 20 points, while Lina Lyon added 19 points. Renna Lane finished with 10 points.

Happy Valley 57, Johnson County 26
The Lady Warriors left no doubt in the second half.

HV held a 24-16 lead at the break and hit the gas in the third quarter by outscoring Johnson County 16-6 in the frame. There was no thought of a comeback in the fourth as

HV outscored the Lady Longhorns 17-4 to secure the win.

Kenzie Ramey had 19 points to pace the Lady Warriors. Kadie Bailey had 13 points, and Scarlett Zeoli added 11 points.

Johnson County was paced by Brookanna Hutchins who tallied 10 points.
