A strong performance claimed this week’s Climate Controllers Player of the Week.
Happy Valley’s Joseph Sowards has been selected as the Week 8 Climate Controllers Player of the Week after his performance in the Warriors’ thrilling OT win at South Greene.
Sowards scored four touchdowns for the Warriors – including the one ti force overtime with 5:13 left in the game as well as the lone score in overtime. He finished the game with 131 yards on 26 carries.
Sowards joins teammate Aidan Paul as Climate Controllers Player of the Week honorees so far this season. Other selections include Kyle Birchfield (Cloudland), Dylan Trivett (Hampton), Rhett Slagle (Elizabethton), AJ Greenless (Unaka) and Dom Burleson (Hampton).
Sowards and company are set to travel to Cumberland Gap on Friday night.
