Hampton opened the Region 1-A Tournament in style.
The Lady Bulldogs scored early and often as they cruised to an 86-25 victory over Hancock County in the quarterfinals in Hampton.
The win advances the Lady Bulldogs into the Region 1-A semifinals where they will take on Cloudland Monday at 6p at West Ridge.
It was all Hampton Friday night.
Macy Henry opened the scoring with three free throws, while Madi Madison and Taylor Berry hit shots as Hampton scored the first 13 points.
After Hancock County got on the board, Pipper Helle helped spark an 18-0 run to end the quarter as HHS held a 31-3 advantage after a quarter of play.
The Lady Indians opened the scoring for the second quarter, but the Lady Bulldogs reeled off 24 of the next 26 points to leave no doubt.
Hampton led 61-12 at the half.
Hampton was able to play a number of subs from late in the second quarter onwards as 11 players reached the scorebook.
McClain had a team-high 18 points, while Hannah Smith and Henry had 14 points apiece. Berry scored 11 points.
Ryliegh Nickles and Lacey Smith added eight points and six points, respectively.
Madelin Dalton scored eight points to lead Hancock County.
