It was a beautiful Saturday for baseball, but it was a mixed bag for Carter County teams. Happy Valley baseball stayed alive with a thrilling victory over Sullivan North. However, Cloudland baseball kept pace with University High, but was unable to battle back as they saw their season end with a loss. In District 1-A softball, Unaka rolled to a 4-0 victory over three-seed South Greene.
Action resumes in the District 1-AA baseball tournament on Sunday, while the rest of the tournaments crank back up on Monday.
