Unaka was unable to win their second straight game on Friday night as they fell 35-0 to Avery County (N.C.) on Stoney Creek.
The Rangers were unable to keep pace with the Vikings early on as Avery jumped out to a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. Unaka was able to move the ball in the second, but was unable to punch it in the endzone as they trailed 21-0 at the half.
Avery added a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to cap off the scoring.
Micah Hunt led the way for the Rangers with 100 rushing yards on 18 carries including a long of 33 yards. Elijah Egolf added 18 yards on the ground.
Hunt also led the way defensively with 4.5 sacks.
