Dobyns-Bennett 2, Unaka 1
The Lady Rangers saw Dobyns-Bennett plate a solo home run in the sixth that proved to be the game-winning run.
After DB took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth, Alana Parsons evened things up with a solo home run over the center-field fence in the first at-bat of the bottom of the fourth.
The Lady Indians, however, used Payton Moore’s home run to secure the win in the sixth.
Sadie Shoun, Lyndie Ramsey, Kendall Bare, and Parsons each had a hit for Unaka.
In the pitching circle, Shoun allowed just two earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.
South Williamsport (Pa.) 11, Elizabethton 1
The Lady Cyclones were unable to keep pace in the closing innings on their first day in Myrtle Beach despite only being outhit 12-9.
Elizabethton took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third, but South Williamsport took control with six runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth.
Maely Ingram was 3-for-3, while Ember Jensen was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Madisun Pritchard allowed one earned run on five hits with five strikeouts in four innings of work.
Cloudland 20, Johnson County 13
The Lady ‘Landers won a high-scoring battle on Monday evening in Mountain City.
Ella Benfield went 5-for-6 with six RBIs to lead the way for Cloudland, while Ryan Turbyfill added three hits and three RBIs.
Taylor Hicks, Karah Fields and Saharra McKinney had two hits apiece. Izabella Christman had three RBIs.

Happy Valley 7, FCA Flames 1
The Warriors rolled to a nonconference win on Monday afternoon.
Tucker Shoun had three hits to lead the way for HV, while Hunter Smith added a two-run double along with a sac fly.
On the mound, Dakota Grindstaff picked up the win as he went just over four innings in relief duty.
North Greene 22, Unaka 1
The Rangers were unable to overcome a big first inning by the Huskies.
Brayden Powell went 2-for-2 with a RBI at the plate to pace the Rangers. Brynin Repass had a run scored.
